Anna Davison is Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations for Bridgepoint Education. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing public and media relations, employee communications, and investor relations, as well as developing an enterprise communication strategy and contributing to the organizational strategic planning process. Anna’s experience includes extensive work in strategic communications, public relations, media campaigns, brand messaging, executive consulting, crisis communications, social media, and intranet management. President-Elect: Kate Griffin (nee Hardman), ABC
Senior Manager, Employee Communications, Qualcomm
Kate Griffin is a senior manager of employee communications at Qualcomm, where she is the communications lead for Qualcomm’s corporate functions and emerging businesses. She also has oversight for Qualcomm’s news intranet, and strategic and leadership communication initiatives. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Kate worked for Sony Electronics and Trident Communications, a global agency specializing in internal communications. Over the course of her career, Kate has managed a diverse range of strategic, change management, creative and editorial initiatives. In 2010, she became an Accredited Business Communicator. She is the winner of two Gold Quill and two Silver Quill awards, and in 2013, was named to San Diego Metro’s 40 under 40. Kate is Past President of IABC/San Diego where she has served on the board for the past eight years. She also serves on IABC’s Pacific Plains Regional Board as a Chapter Advocate. Past President: Sarah Bilyeu
SVP, Community Relations and Business Development, San Diego County Credit Union
Sarah Bilyeu is the Senior Vice President of Community Relations and Business Development at San Diego County Credit Union. In this role, she is responsible for defining and implementing the organization’s overall community relations and business development strategy. This includes overseeing the coordination of strategic relationships with local companies and community organizations and SDCCU’s more than 35 branch locations in San Diego, Riverside and Orange counties. Previously, she was the Communications Specialist at Bridgepoint Education, where she was responsible for developing and managing multiple complex internal and external communications initiatives to support key business goals. She led the internal communication initiative supporting the national brand advertising campaign for one of Bridgepoint’s academic institutions, Ashford University, which won her a 2013 IABC Gold Quill Award for Brand Communications. Bilyeu also served on the Corporate Communications team at The UPS Store and worked as a News Reporter, Producer and Editor for San Diego’s KOGO AM 600. An avid volunteer, she served five years managing Public Relations efforts for Fruit of the Soul, an annual event benefiting Monarch School and A Reason to Survive. Bilyeu holds a BA in Journalism and Political Science from San Diego State University and an MBA in Marketing from Ashford University. Senior Corporate Communications Specialist, AMN Healthcare
Heidi Everly is a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist for AMN Healthcare. In this role, she is responsible for managing the company’s intranet, writing a variety of internal and external communications, and developing engaging social media content. Previously, she was the Marketing and Online Community Specialist for Mission Federal Credit Union, where she played a vital role in expanding the credit union’s social reach through marketing campaigns. Heidi has loved to write since she was a little girl, when she’d ask her mom to give her a topic so that she could write a poem about it. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, daughter and two dogs, accidentally coming up with new recipes and the occasional night out with her best friends.
VP, Communication: Alison Winkler
Corporate Communications Partner, Medimpact Healthcare Systems
Allison is currently the Corporate Communications Partner for MedImpact Healthcare Systems where she manages daily operations of communications programs and develops strategies to enhance knowledge sharing and engagement within the organization. Previous to joining MedImpact she held marketing, sales and communications positions for both public and private organizations. Allison also has practical business experience as a start up co-founder and owner of education-related franchises. She holds several certifications including: User Experience Design, Project Management Professional designation and a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt. She earned her bachelors degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Masters of Communication from the University of Southern California. She is very excited to be back in San Diego where she enjoys backpacking, hiking, golf and ocean sports.

Vice President, Communications, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute
Christine Infante is vice president, communications for Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (SBP) in La Jolla, CA. She is responsible for all internal and external communications, and brand development and management. Prior to joining SBP Infante was a senior consultant for Towers Watson in communications and change management, vice president of communications for Invitrogen, head of west region communications for Towers Perrin, head of west region communications for Watson Wyatt, and manager and editor for Pacific Bell/Pacific Telesis. With more than 25 years experience as a communications and change management professional, she has helped global organizations successfully implement complex business changes and transformations – both internally and externally. She has developed and implemented comprehensive strategies to create alignment with an enterprise’s vision and strategy and enhance an organization’s image among diverse stakeholders. She has experience in public relations, community relations, executive and employee communications. She has held leadership roles in both corporate and consulting organizations and has experience in the biotechnology, health care, high-tech, financial services, energy, utilities, manufacturing, retail and nonprofit sectors. She earned a BA degree in English from Carnegie Mellon University.
VP, Programming & Events: Robynn Rockstad-Rex
Volunteer Director, Marketing & Social Media, Education First
Robynn Rockstad-Rex is the Volunteer Director of Marketing & Social Media for Education First, a nonprofit organization that provides college scholarships to low-income youth. In this role, she is boosting the organization’s online presence and leveraging social media to enhance the effectiveness of fundraising programs. She has recently moved to San Diego from Paris, France, where she was the Director of Communications and Programs for the International Brain Research Organization, where she managed all events, online and print publications, and public relations for the world’s largest neuroscientist member organization. Previously, she was the worldwide Director of Communications for the Automation Business of AREVA T&D (a global CO2-free energy company), which was also headquartered in Paris. Robynn graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a B.A. in Communications and earned a Certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Washington. Marketing Project Manager
With a broad background in marketing, communications, human resources and operations, Jan McGinn understands how to connect a company’s message to its audience. Previously at ICW Group, a San Diego-based insurance carrier, she managed large-scale projects, including launching a new brand, promotional campaigns and events. Prior to that, she managed Human Resources, with an emphasis on benefits and internal communications. Jan earned a B.S. in Human Resources from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and has also earned the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation. An avid community supporter, she volunteers for Boy Scouts and within the Scripps Ranch community. On the weekends, she enjoys camping, cycling and hiking with her husband.

Communications Manager, Cox Communications
Sheila Garcia is a communications manager for Cox Communications. In this role, she is responsible for internal communications for employees in California. Sheila develops and implements communications strategies and manages a wide variety of communications tools to support open communication throughout the organization. Prior to working at Cox Communications, Sheila was a senior Communications officer for the San Diego County Employees Retirement Association and a Marketing Coordinator at the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication from UCSD and SDSU, respectively. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and children, drinking coffee and eating chocolate.

Campaign Specialist at Crowdfund Mafia
Chantal Ramirez is a recent graduate of San Diego State University holding a BA in Journalism with an emphasis in Media Studies. Chantal has played a key player in her role at Crowdfund Mafia as a PR Specialist, where her responsibilities include crafting media lists, monitoring PR activity and facilitating media relations. She has contributed to reaching funding goals for several Kickstarter campaigns at pre-launch and during live campaigns. Just recently, she has helped with Campaign Management where she oversees different aspects of campaigns going live such as PR, Website Design, Client Relations, and Online Marketing. Previously, she served as a Public Relations associate at Fidelitas Development where she helped plan and execute marketing strategies, social media outreach and facilitating media relations. Prior to joining Fidelitas Development, Chantal worked for Mosaic Sales Solutions, where she promoted brand awareness for clients by executing consumer and B2B events, retail visits, digital, PR and social strategies. In her spare time, Chantal enjoys exercising, traveling, the outdoors, listening to live music and eating great food with family and friends.

Senior Employee Communications Specialist, Qualcomm
Liz Neely is a Senior Employee Communications Specialist at Qualcomm, where her responsibilities include writing articles, editing copy and managing the editorial calendar for the company’s internal daily news site, as well as providing communications support to various enterprise and business initiatives. Prior to joining Qualcomm in 2012, Liz worked as an investigator for firms specializing in complex civil litigation, including securities fraud, antitrust and consumer fraud class actions. Liz’s background is primarily in journalism, and she spent more than a decade as a reporter writing stories for online and print publications including The San Diego Union Tribune, The Ventura County Star and an electronics industry trade publication based in Silicon Valley. She holds a BA in Journalism and History from Humboldt State University. She also attended the University of Minnesota and has a professional certificate in digital and social media from SDSU’s College of Extended Studies. Outside of work, Liz enjoys traveling, listening to live music and rooting for the winning-challenged Padres.

Director, ROI Communications
Nolan Sundrud is a Director at ROI Communications, an employee communication and engagement agency. For more than 23 years, he has provided strategic thinking, expert counsel and creativity to organizations in the manufacturing, retail, health care and human resource industries. His internal communications work for Toyota earned PRWeek’s 2015 Best Internal Communications Campaign of the Year, and a 2015 Gold Quill for Change Communications. After business hours, Sundrud teaches communications theory in the University of Denver’s on-line master’s program. He holds a degree in public relations from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Colorado State. Outside of work, you’ll find him mountain biking, swimming, singing, or yelling very loudly during a hockey game.
Director, Events: Erica Butler
Senior Strategy Management Consultant, Booz Allen Hamilton
Erica Butler is a senior strategy management consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. She currently serves on the company’s community partnership team and serves as chair of the African-American forum. Recently, she was selected as one of 60 women worldwide to participate in the Executive Program for Women Leaders at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Ms. Butler is also the founder & chief executive officer of EB Media Group, LLC, a creative communications agency. The seasoned consultant has a background in politics, working on Capitol Hill and serving as a political producer for a major news network. As a journalist, she has contributed to numerous outlets, which include Time Warner, CBS and NBC News. Butler was selected as a New York Times Fellow at U.C. Berkeley for an intensive institute on immigration.
She is a member of the National Press Club, Women in Defense, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Erica regularly volunteers with a Washington, D.C.- based organization called IMPACT, which engages young professionals between the ages of 18 and 40.
