Grow your network here in San Diego! IABC is teaming with the San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the American Marketing Association (AMA) San Diego to present the Third Annual San Diego Diversity Mixer, “Breaking through the Barriers.” This is a great opportunity to meet and network with communications, PR and marketing professionals from across all industries in San Diego. • IABC 2017 World Conference in Washington, D.C. – June 11-14
This year’s theme of “Global Business: Lead Communication—Make Real Impact” speaks to what IABC believes about the profession. It represents IABC’s mission to elevate your career and to highlight the global rise of communication as a business-crucial part of an organization. In addition to a stellar line-up of keynotes tailored to the unique needs of a communication audience, as well as a slate of outstanding break-out sessions, this year’s IABC World Conference includes special events and all-new sessions that will take you on the journey of what it takes to lead communication and make real impact. And in case you missed it – we had some exciting news! Congratulations to the chapter for earning two awards in the 2017 Chapter Management Award (CMA) competition. The annual IABC CMA competition measures the leadership and management skills, creativity and teamwork of IABC chapter leaders worldwide. This year, the San Diego chapter was recognized with the following mid-size chapter awards: Award of Merit – Communication Management, and Award of Merit – Financial Management. Way to go, IABC/San Diego!

Wishing you all a great spring, and I hope to see you at an upcoming event!
