The County’s Year of Crisis Communication
The last 12 months have presented challenges for communicators in just about every field. Perhaps no one has had to face more than those working in the public sector. As Assistant Director in the Communications office for the County of San Diego, Tammy Glenn has been a part of it all this past year. That includes a contentious presidential election, civil unrest stemming from the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, as well as local wildfire season. Of course, there was also COVID-19 and all the logistical issues that came with it, which included setting up testing and vaccine sites. Join us to hear more about the critical role Tammy and the County communications team have played throughout the pandemic and more as part of the County’s communications response efforts, as well as the assistance they’ve provided every step of the way.
When: Thursday, March 25 from 5-6 p.m.
