“Necessity is the mother of invention.” —Plato
Three words that best describe me:
Engaged, enthusiastic, enterprising
When I’m not working, you could find me…

My Life in Communications
The biggest communications challenge I have faced…
Serving as a part-time communications manager for a healthcare company where I was responsible for development and implementation of ALL advertising, public relations, and marketing campaigns geared to brokers, employers, employees, members, physicians, and community members. Not only was I able to meet these goals, but I exceeded all expectations, including my own!
My favorite communications memory is…
My ongoing privilege to interview people and write about their stories of accomplishment, survival, and strength as a way to inspire others and relate them to a company’s brand.
The most important communications or professional lesson I’ve learned is…
Start a project with no preconceived notions.
Resources that I really find useful and recommend to other communicators are…
The Chicago Manual of Style keeps my writing spot-on and IABC-SD professional development meetings keep my mind fresh.
