Looking back on the 8-plus years that I have been a member of IABC-San Diego, the biggest reward for me has been the connections I have made with exceptional communicators, both globally and locally. A perfect example of a stellar communicator who I have had the privilege to get to know is Anna Davison. I am incredibly honored to recognize Anna as the IABC-San Diego 2016 Communicator of the Year. Please join me in the COTY celebration thisWednesday, April 20 at the Hash House A Go Go in Hillcrest, who graciously sponsored the event. You will hear from Anna and learn more about her many accomplishments, and have the opportunity to connect with her –  along with a number of exceptional communicators! Register today!

Are you an employee communications professional who needs inspiration to make the most of your intranet? Want to learn what leading companies are doing to engage their employees through social tools? Then the Intranets for Employee Communications Conference is for you – and, IABC-San Diego is offering three ways to win FREE attendance (a $2,099 value!). Find out how! The conference is taking place June 21-23 at the Renaissance San Diego Downtown Hotel.

We are actively recruiting board members for the 2016-2017 IABC-San Diego board term! If you are interested in getting more out of your membership by boosting your public profile, increasing your networking opportunities, enhancing your career and making a difference, I highly encourage you to consider filling one of our board positions. Not only is the experience incredibly rewarding, but it provides a platform to make deeper professional connections and further engage with your communication career.
