2022 Communicator of the Year Awards Event

We are thrilled to announce that La Monica Everett-Haynes is the 2022 IABC/San Diego Communicator of the Year (COTY).

As Associate Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for Strategic Communications and Public Affairs at San Diego State University (SDSU), La Monica directs marketing and communications for the institution. A

strategic communicator and trusted leader recognized for her commitment to compassion, diversity and community, she brings over 20 years of experience in her field. She believes that the full power of the organization begins with its people and the collaborative culture they cultivate.

The IABC/San Diego COTY Award recognizes a greater San Diego leader who demonstrates strategic excellence in communication and serves as an outstanding example to others through quality of work and contributions to the communications profession.
