Jack Chirrick

Director of Corporate Comms, American Specialty Health

Jack Chirrick is a strategic thinker and problem solver who uses his extensive marketing communications skills to connect people with solutions to enhance their lives. He began his career in the U.S. Navy before retiring after 21 years of honorable service to lead fundraising and philanthropic operations supporting military families in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and New Mexico.

Seeing a broad need for experienced marketing communications support across the nonprofit sector, Jack founded his business Now You Know to help nonprofit leaders connect to and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Jack expanded his business portfolio in 2019 to include support of small-to-mid-sized businesses in several industry sectors to include water, commercial real estate, defense, food, and technology before seeking a full-time position as the director of corporate communications with American Specialty Health.

Outside of work, Jack has served on the St. Paul’s Program for All-Inclusive Care Quality Assurance Committee, the San Diego School District Advisory Council, the ABC News 10 Military Recognition Committee, and as the vice president of membership and director at large with the San Diego chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

When not engaged in work or community activities, Jack enjoys time in the outdoors with his family camping, hiking, surfing, mountain biking, and kayaking.

Jack earned his Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, in English from National University.

During his career, he has been awarded a number of military and civilian awards to include the U. S. Navy Public Affairs Alumni Association Exemplary Service Award, Pinnacle Honor Society Award, National University Leadership Award, Meritorious Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
