Melissa Eckmann

Melissa Eckmann is a strategic communications leader with more than 20 years of experience helping executives and organizations communicate with clarity, consistency, and authenticity. She has built her career at the intersection of strategy and storytelling — crafting narratives that inspire employees, strengthen engagement, and build trust both inside and outside the company.

Most recently, Melissa served as Communications Director at Wells Fargo, where she led a team supporting Commercial Banking business lines. In that role, she partnered with senior leaders to navigate change, guide complex communications, and deliver messaging that aligned with business goals and resonated with diverse audiences worldwide. Her expertise spans executive visibility, employee engagement, media relations, crisis and change communications, and cross-functional collaboration.

Beyond her professional career, Melissa is deeply committed to her community. She serves as President of IABC San Diego and sits on the Board of Advisors for the Toby Wells YMCA. Based in San Diego, she’s an avid traveler, dedicated dog mom, book lover, and self-proclaimed coffee enthusiast.
