Congrats to IABC/San Diego for winning five chapter awards!
The San Diego chapter of the IABC was named the 2009 Mid-Size Chapter of the Year. In addition to this award, IABC/San Diego was also recognized with three awards of excellence and an award of merit for outstanding chapter management. The awards were announced at February’s 2009 Leadership Institute in Orlando, Fla.
IABC’s chapter management awards recognize the leadership abilities, management skills, creativity and teamwork of outstanding volunteer chapter leaders worldwide. Awards are presented in three divisions – small, mid-size and large chapters. Within those divisions are eight categories: membership marketing, professional development, financial management, leadership development, communication, branding, community involvement and student involvement. Each year, more than 100 IABC chapters from around the globe compete for the awards.
